I once heard a story about Finnian from his mom that struck a little chord inside my imagination. He had gotten into a treasure trove of temporary tattoos and covered his arms. Carefully piecing together the tattoos to fill up his arms. He was summarily informed that his body art was 'too distracting' at school and needed to be removed. This made me think about kids and body adornment. What if a child wants to express themselve their individually. How do we support that process? When I knew Finnian was coming in for his El Corazón session with me I knew that I was going to find a cache of temporary body stickers for a photo. We saved them until the end of the session. This is a boy whose eyes are filled with sweet wonder and mystery. Don't you think?
